Welcome to Inferno Canine’s Introduction to IGP and Competitive Obedience Foundations!
IGP is formally known as “schutzhund” and “IPO”. It consists of 3 phases - tracking, obedience, and protection. The sport was originally developed as a breed suitability test for the German shepherd dog. Although many still use it as a breed test, it has evolved into a competitive dog sport that focuses on emotion, precision, and power for all dog breeds.
During our course, you will work 1 on 1 with one of our instructors where you will learn the foundations to IGP obedience. From focused heeling, to rear end awareness, motion exercises, and speedy recalls. This course is suitable for those interested in other obedience avenues as well - such as CKC Obedience, Rally, etc. We can help you “up”your obedience game! 😁

All those interested are required to attend an evaluation session October 17 @10:00am.
Dogs will be evaluated at this time for suitability for the program. This evaluation costs $25.00 and will evaluate the handlers attitude and coach-ability, the dogs willingness to work with the handler, the dogs food and toy drives, as well as the dogs drives in protection. Dogs and handlers who meet these criteria’s will be offered a spot into our Introduction course. To reserve your spot in the evaluation, please email us inferno.canine@outlook.com
This course is 2 months long, consisting of 8 consecutive classes 1 hour in length, 1 on 1 with an instructor (one of Inferno’s IGP handlers).
Course Cost: $300.00 for the entirety of the course. Since there are limited spots available, only those most suitable based on criteria laid out in the evaluation will be offered a spot in our course. Full payment of course is only required to those offered a spot.

Course Start date: October 31st @10:00am.
