Intro to IGP Foundations
Welcome to Inferno Canine’s Introduction to IGP and Competitive Obedience Foundations!
During our course, you will work 1 on 1 with one of our instructors where you will learn the foundations to IGP obedience. From focused heeling, to rear end awareness, motion exercises, and speedy recalls. This course is suitable for those interested in other obedience avenues as well - such as CKC Obedience, Rally, etc. We can help you “up” your obedience game! 😁
Tracking Foundations 01

Join us for our Tracking Foundations 01 course. Inferno Canine is a competitive IGP club that for the first time has decided to offer footstep foundations tracking to the committed dog owners of the Calgary community!
Obedience 01 and Relationship Building
Inferno Canine’s Obedience 01 and Relationship Building class style is focused on accuracy and reliability of obedience exercises using balanced training approaches without sacrificing your relationship with your dog. In fact, relationships and engagement with your canine partner is so important to us that we also teach you techniques on reward styles, and playing in order to increase your relationship.
Puppy Foundations 01 and Engagement
Join us for Puppy Foundations 01! This class style will be focused on relationship building, positive associations with the environment, and the shaping of important obedience exercise foundations.

Puppy Foundations 01 and Engagement
Join us for Puppy Foundations 01! This class style will be focused on relationship building, positive associations with the environment, and the shaping of important obedience exercise foundations.
During this class, you will learn reward styles, shaping, luring, and how to implement them to maximize your puppies training and learning. Here are an example of common exercises we will go over:
⭐️ Recall Foundations (lets start off your training right with a puppy who loves coming when called!)

⭐️ Sit, Down, Stay
⭐️ Name Games
⭐️ Place/Crate Command

As a handler you will learn:

💭 The Four Quadrants of Operant Conditioning

💭 The Importance of TIMING and CONSISTENCY!
This class is geared towards results, positive associations, and increasing the relationship between you and your puppy. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions. Register before we fill!
*Puppies must be up to date on vaccines
*This is not a traditional “socialization class” meaning we do not let puppies interact with eachother - instead we stress the importance of puppies building relationships with their handlers and learn how to work with their handlers under heavy distractions
$175 for 4 weeks. 2x per week, 1hr. This class is held outdoors on our home field. Dress for the weather. Porta-potty on site.
Schedule: TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS at 7PM. June 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, July 1, 6, 8
Directions will be sent to participants after registration and payment is processed. Our location is off Macleod Trail and 210 Ave SE.
Obedience 01 and Relationship Building
Inferno Canine’s Obedience 01 and Relationship Building class style is focused on accuracy and reliability of obedience exercises using balanced training approaches without sacrificing your relationship with your dog. In fact, relationships and engagement with your canine partner is so important to us that we also teach you techniques on reward styles, and playing in order to increase your relationship. During this course, your dog will learn (and touch up on) the following behaviours (but not limited to 😉)

- For dogs who are just learning these commands
- For dogs who take multiple commands to execute the exercise and/or cannot hold the exercise for a reasonable amount of time before breaking.

- For dogs who are just learning
- For dogs who have issues with the recall
♦️ Loose leash walking with distractions
♦️ Reactivity
♦️ Responding to leash pressure
♦️Neutrality to the environment
♦️ and much much more!!
As a handler, you will learn

*Tracking field may be on hay, OR dirt depending on farmers schedule. We won’t have a solid answer until about a week before trial. We recommend to practice tracking in both conditions, if any participants are in need of a dirt field to practice on, we can set one up. Please email for details.

Inferno Canine’s Basic Obedience 01 and Relationship Building class style is focused on accuracy and reliability of obedience exercises using balanced training approaches without sacrificing your relationship with your dog. In fact, relationships and engagement with your canine partner is so important to us that we also teach you techniques on reward styles, and playing in order to increase your relationship. During this course, your dog will learn (and touch up on) the following behaviours (but not limited to)

Recalls - for dogs who are in the foundation phases of training, and/or for dogs who have reliability issues with recall.

Puppy Foundations 01 and Relationship Building
Start your puppy on the right foot! Join us for our last outdoor puppy class of the season!
In this course you will learn to start your puppy on the right foot, or perhaps start mending a dog/owner relationship that has some cracks in it’s foundation. At Inferno Canine, we believe that the key to having a solid relationship with your dog is through trust, structure, and mutual respect. Not only will we help you promote having a happy, obedient puppy, but we will make sure to help you understand where the kinks are in your own handling so that you can be the best you can be for your puppy!
We will go over the following:
